Protests will be accepted by tech officials only from the driver or a car owner. The protest must be in writing and accompanied by the protest fee in cash within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the A-Main.
The protest fee is $500 per item excluding crate engines. If the person being protested is found to be legal the protest fee is split 50/50 between the person being protested and the track.
If the person getting protested is found to be illegal, then the person protesting will receive 50% of their money back, with the other half of the protest fee going to the track.
The person placing the protest must be present and participating in the last 3 events that involve their car class. The person placing the protest must have finished in the top 10 on the night of protest and can only protest finishers 1, 2 or 3. Protest can be filed on ECMP rule violations only.No “judgment call” protests will be accepted. All protests shall be decided upon by ECMP officials whose decision shall be final.
In the event a car is protested and found illegal by ECMP the driver and car protested shall have all points and money forfeited at that particular event, and will be suspended for 3 racing weeks in their class. Refusal of claim receives suspension for the next 3 races of their class, loss of points, and forfeiture of the payout for that event.
If the driver refuses to accept a claim forfeits his/her right to make a claim in any event for 1 year, and will lose their points for the year. Two or more refusals of claim will result in inability to participate at future events in that class as determined by ECMP officials.
The protesters' car must first pass tech before being able to protest another car. If they are deemed illegal there is no protest.
Only what is written is what will be inspected at the time. You can not go back to add items later.
There will be only one driver / crew / car owner allowed to represent each team and the track officials present. Absolutely NO ONE ELSE will be allowed to be in the tech area.
If found illegal, you must prove your car is legal before you will be allowed to compete again.
